Shop My Cozy Gaming Desk Setup
Shop my cozy gaming desk setup, complete with Nanoleaf lights, IKEA pegboard, wax melts, and green ergonomic chair.
I’ve had so many messages asking about my cozy desk setup. So here it is: everything that makes my space feel warm, creative, and a little bit magical.
This setup wasn’t built overnight! It’s a collection of things that I've built up over time, and saved up for, so please don't think you need a ton of money to achieve this straight away. No. Take it slow and build it up with things you LOVE.
🌙 Lighting
The first thing people notice in my photos. These lights completely change the atmosphere between “work” and “play”, as you can choose from hundreds (thousands?) of presets and colours. I keep mine set to the Autumn Forest preset most days - it’s soothing and easy on the eyes.
A neon light of a cat chasing a star. It’s the favourite part of my setup, and the best thing about it is that it was completely affordable AND there are so many different designs you can choose from! Like - LOADS! It's almost more fun scrolling through them all.
- Candles & Wax Melts
Scent is everything for coziness. I burn wax melts from Northern Soul (the Coffee and Newspapers and Autumn Forest scents are divine), and candles usually come from Aldi UK or TK Maxx.
🌿 The Pegboard & Shelves
My pegboard holds small plants, photos, postcards, and my collection of keyboards. A few cards from friends and cat-themed stickers sneak in, too. You can change it up seasonally, get different coloured pegs, basically do whatever you want with it!
Above my desk are simple shelves filled with hanging plants, cozy artwork, and my favourite plushies. They make the whole space feel softer and it means I can display more of my little trinkets.
Functional and beautiful! The green blends perfectly with the aesthetic, and it’s comfortable enough to get me through long workdays and longer evenings in Stardew Valley.
⌨️ Desk Essentials
- Desk – IKEA Lagkapten/Alex
Simple, sturdy, and adaptable. The wide surface gives me space for both monitors, and the drawers hide all the not-so-pretty cables and notebooks.
A soft-touch wireless keyboard with satisfying keys and just enough click to make typing enjoyable. It’s compact and fits perfectly with my green-and-cream colour palette.
Almost completely silent. Smooth, reliable, and easy to pair. Green!
I didn’t know how much difference a wrist rest could make until I got this one. Soft and supportive during editing or gaming sessions.
A big, soft surface printed with green plants and a rainy-night scene, in the colours that I love. It ties the whole desk together.
☕ Sounds and Scents
I use mine almost exclusively to play Lofi Girl or Calmed by Nature scenes. My favourites are the rainy coffee shop and candle-lit bookshop loops.
- Mugs – Emma Bridgewater
My mugs are nearly always Emma Bridgewater.
- Chai – Amala Chai
My go-to blend. Spicy, rich, and feels like a hug in a cup. Perfect companion for writing or gaming on grey afternoons.
🐾 The Digital Details
- PC Wallpapers – ViktojaDesigns on Etsy
Viktoja’s artwork captures exactly the cozy vibe I love - soft autumn palettes, warm lighting, and cats everywhere. I rotate through them with the seasons, and they completely change the feel of my desk.
The perfect combo of comfort and sound quality. I use them for both deep-focus work and quiet evenings with my Steam Deck. The noise-cancellation is brilliant, and they’re light enough to wear for hours.
When the workday ends, I move my laptop aside, plug in the Steam Deck, and dive into my latest cozy game.
Why This Setup Matters to Me
This little corner has become my favourite place in the world. It holds both sides of my life - the focused, analytical side that loves order and data, and the softer, creative side that loves cozy games and cups of tea.
If you’re creating your own cozy desk setup, start with what makes you feel calm. Maybe it’s scent, light, or sound. Build from there, slowly. Your space doesn’t have to be Pinterest-perfect; it just has to be yours.
